This lovely detached residence in Stamford ticked all the boxes for the buyer, with the exception of its small kitchen and dining space. Our client wanted to extend out from the back of the old kitchen to create more practical space, for the family to enjoy. They wanted more of a modern larger space, that connected seamlessly to their garden. By introducing large sliding doors, modern flat roof lights and bringing the paving outside level to create a smooth transition to the garden, we were able to create the perfect space. This once dark and smaller area is now full of light and has become a favourite area for this family to enjoy.

This young family want to extend this 60s built property. The brief was twofold, ”we would like a large modern kitchen space that is safe for our young family, practical and easy to keep an eye on the children, but also something that would be good for entertaining, especially in summer”. We introduced the flat roof lights and bifold doors to the garden with a fixed light window, to add as much natural light to this home. The detailing of the stunning black aluminium and timber cladding has transformed this dated property into a modern family home.

Being completely satisfied with their new windows and doors, the Martin’s came back to QKS with their desire for a bespoke hardwood Orangery. A large project, we transformed the old layout into something spectacularly different to provide this family with the ultimate living space. A new kitchen area was created and the Orangery formed for a family dining area, opening up the space available and providing a far more practical and desirable footprint. Stamford stonewalling, painted hardwood framework and bespoke hardwood roof lantern were used for the build. All materials chosen were matched internally with traditional French doors, underfloor heating and spotlights to showcase their feature roof and bespoke kitchen.

Our client approached us to design and build a traditional timber orangery at this stunning property. Our brief was to create a space that would make the most of the surrounding views from the neighbouring park whilst allowing as much light into the room as possible, which was achieved by floor to ceiling glazing and using a generous roof lantern. The bespoke timber detailing and traditional underfloor heating used complemented the individual style of the existing property. This truly is a room for all seasons and all occasions.
